Site Manager – Solar PV – Zambia

We are recruiting a Site Manager to join an Utility-Scale Solar PV project in Zambia. The client plans to commence construction 40MW solar PV project with an overhead line grid connection.

We are seeking for experienced candidates who have previously worked as Site Managers on previous energy projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring contractor performance, enforcing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations, and ensuring that the project meets all contractual obligations. Strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail are essential for this role.

Please note that this role is based on-site. Fixed term contract of 24 months.

• Qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required

• 5+ years in Site Management experience in developing markets
• Experience with the construction utility-scale of Solar/ Hydro power projects
• Knowledge of HSE standards and contractor management
• Strong understanding of technical specifications and contractual compliance
• Experience with Solar energy technology advantageous
• Direct experience in the management of EPC Contractors
• Background in civil, electrical, or mechanical on construction projects
• Driver's License is essential

• Fluent in English (speaking & writing), speaking local languages is advantageous
• Leadership skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft suite (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Able to Negotiate
• Cross-cultural awareness and ethical behaviour
